A relatively low turnout of six members (we obviously haven't quite got the hang of inviting people properly yet!
) didn't prevent the us cutting back all the vegetation on the Sares Wood UCR from the B3390 to the top of Tincleton Hill UCR.
The lane has been cut back wide enough and high enough for all users to get along the lane without difficulty. In fact we met two horse riders who commended us on our good work during the clearance! Thanks to Rob, Mike, Pete and Michelle, who joined Adam and me yesterday and made it all happen!
The next phase will be to fill in the large damaged area at the top of Ticleton Hill to make the ROW passable by the correct route once more, preventing further damage to the private land on either side of the UCR.
There will be a need for a JCB and an enormous amount of material (stone/rock/rubble) to fill the hole and prevent it sinking in the future. More information about this will be forthcoming shortly, so keep an eye on the website!
See you soon!
